NEW HOME PROPOSAL

We have made several changes and are up to our 4th home proposal. We have hopefully made our final selections/ changes to sign our 5th copy. We are due to get this back on the 11th July.

Our final selections/ upgrades include the following:

Upgrade face brick: 1st floor Façade only – Blue Steel Flash (Cat 8)

         Rest of house – Moon Dust (Cat 2)

Upgrade motor to off white to the façade

Upgrade to the Timber Stacker Doors to include a provision for fly screens

Add cavity sliding doors to the Living

Under stairs storage

Upgrade the internal doors to Corinthian Deco 3D doors

Upgrade the wardrobe doors to bi-fold doors in bed 2, 3 & 4

Add Pot drawers in the kitchen

Upgrade the staircase at the top of the stairs to stainless steel balusters in lieu of the standard plaster lined wall

Add drawers to the Ensuite vanity

Tiled niche in the Master Ensuite and Bathroom

Upgrade the rain shower in the Master ensuite

Upgrade bath to the large bath

Cold water point behind the fridge



We have included a $9k allowance for electrical, this will include the purchase of all the fans, we are having one in every room. We are hoping we can go to our electrical appointment the same day as signing the contract.



The following is being done by 3rd party contractors after handover:

Complete ducted aircon

Swimming Pool

Render to the 2nd floor (façade only)

Carpets

Tiles

Driveway

Concrete for the Alfesco aera, stencilled around the pool, and the washing line area

Landscaping



Plantation was good enough to let us do our colour appointment before we signed our Home Proposal to save time, because the land had not been registered. I will post some pictures of our colour choices in my next post.

INTRODUCTION


First a quick introduction to my family to get started on our first building journey.

My name is Kim, my husband is Mark and we have 2 monkey's in tow – our daughter Bethany, and son James. We are currently renting and can't wait to start building our first home. We have chosen to build the Trinity Q2 – Miller façade, with Plantation Homes:


                  
THE BLOCK OF LAND:

We are purchasing a 676sqm corner block of land, North Brisbane. We are waiting for it to be registered, it has been with council for a few weeks now so it shouldn't be too long to go.

Here is a picture of our land:






Hopefully our land will be registered by the end of next week so we can sign our mortgage documents to make owning the land official.

This picture of the land was taken some months ago, I will post a more up to date picture later.


 

Choosing the House:

We have been looking at display homes for over a year, I was starting to get obsessed! We have decided to build the Trinity Q2 with Plantation Homes, as soon as we walked into the display home we knew it was perfect for us, it has all the areas we need and more. Here is the floor plan:

We have made a few changes to the floor plan, we have deleted the theatre at the back so we can have an extended alfresco. We are going to use theLiving at the front of the house as our theatre. There are other minor changes but I will go into more detail in the New Home Proposal section.
